Purple Honeycombs are a much rarer type of Honeycomb in Phoenotopia. They are only found in one spot in the east side of Sunflower Road. This spot can only be reached with the Rocket Boots.
Description[]
Purple Honeycombs are a consumable item that does not restore health but will boost Gale's speed and stamina for four minutes instead of the one minute with normal Honeycombs. Additionally, Purple Honeycombs can also be given to Hachi at the Honey Labs Inn in exchange for 25 Rai each. Doing so will also unlock Lilac Honey at his shop, which doubles the effect of Purple Honeycombs. Hachi will give Gale a free sample of Lilac Honey upon unlocking it.
The only location this item can be found is in Sunflower Road East atop a tall leaf on the left side of the area. As with regular Honeycombs, leaving the area and reentering through the World Map will respawn another Purple Honeycomb.
Purple Honeycombs presumably get their color from honey that Bull Bees obtain from lilac flowers.
Trivia[]
- Honeycombs also may exist in real life, although they are very rare if so. There is much speculation on how it is colored purple, but it is likely not because of lilacs, since lilacs are a common flower that results in yellow honey.
