Trolls are genetically modified creatures created for usage in the Great War. Along with Harpies, they inhabit Aurantia and Terrelum in the Forbidden Lands.

Description[]

Trolls are large, green, and muscular humanoids. They have the ability to turn into stone statues. Although, they only use this ability when they go to sleep, and never during combat, as they cannot sleep on command. Trolls are seen exclusively some of the game's final areas, those being Aurantia and one specific room in E.D.E.N.  As enemies, their moveset in this game focuses heavily on brute strength, as they wield clubs and can perform powerful melee attacks by slamming them down to try to strike Gail.  These attacks are powerful enough to send a group of three rocks flying forward if a Troll slams his club down while standing on the ground.  Trolls can also attack by throwing nets which deal low damage but entangle Gail on contact, and by jumping high into the air to get closer to Gail, if not to just land right on top of her.  Due to their large size, Trolls will also send rocks flying if they land on the ground after jumping.  On top of that, Trolls have an astoundingly high amount of HP in this game and are heavyweight, meaning they can't be staggered by most attacks, making it considerably harder to take them down than some other enemies.

NPCs[]

A tribe of docile Trolls can be found in the hidden village of Terrelum, where they live in harmony with Harpies.  Some of these Trolls hold various jobs around the village, such as running the shop or lifeguarding at the hot spring.  There's also a Troll child inside Terrelum's main building who offers to give Gail a Super Shroom, an extremely powerful consumable item, in exchange for nine Gold Dragon Scales.

Additionally, a Troll named Truff can be found in one of the Old Castles.  He is normally found in statue form, but if Gail brings a certain group of consumable items to his castle and sleeps on the patch of grass right next to him, Truff will awaken and attempt to raid Gail's inventory, only to be stopped by Gail.  Truff will then apologize and offer to make it up to her by teaching her a bit of his fighting style, resulting in Gail learning the Troll Guard technique.
